Snowday
Colorway: 11x14" / Framed
In January 2014, Atlanta ground to a halt. Highways became parking lots, people abandoned their cars, and the city declared a state of emergency. In Marietta, Georgia, Ashley Woodson Bailey walked into her front yard with peonies and a camera. Snowday is what she found there — blush and cream blooms laid against the snow, their dark stems tracing quiet lines through the white, the world outside in chaos and this one small patch of it impossibly, inexplicably beautiful. A print about luck, and stillness, and knowing to stop and photograph the flowers.
